All contestants and sponsors should assemble promptly at 8 a.m.
at the CU FOOTBALL STADIUM entrance located on
where additional instructions will be given.
The contest is designed to enhance the learning activities related to milk quality and the attributes of milk products and substitutes for them.
1. Milk and flavor Identification and Evaluation. Ten (10) milk samples will be scored on flavor (taste and odor).
2. Cheese Identification. Ten (10) cheese samples for identification will be selected from those listed on the State Interscholastics website.
3. Dairy and Non-Dairy products. Five (5) samples will be identified as either dairy products or non-dairy (imitation-artificial) products.
4. A forty question multiple choice test. Resources for the test will be the PDF file titled “Dairy Foods Test Material”, on the Junior CDE website of the Oklahoma FFA Association, and Dairy Facts - The International Dairy Foods Association website: www.idfa.org.
One team of three or four (3-4) members and up to four (4) additional individuals may participate with the three (3) highest scores of the designated team used for the team score.
