Dr. George Edward Stanley

Dr. George StanleyGeorge Edward Stanley, D.Litt., of Lawton, received a B.A. in French, German, and Portuguese and a M.A. in linguistics from Texas Tech University, and a D.Litt. in linguistics from the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. A professor of languages and linguistics, he began his career at Cameron in 1970. He has served as chairman of the Department of Languages and Communication and of the Department of English, Foreign Languages, and Journalism. In addition to all the Germanic and Romance languages, he has taught more than 30 other languages. He has written hundreds of short stories and articles on writing for children and adults and authored almost 100 books for young people.
