Participants must meet the following criteria:

• Enrolled at an accredited high school, college or university in the U.S.
• Enrolled at the undergraduate level or your final year of high school
• Age sixteen (16) years or older
• Attending a U.S. based institution
• Carry a status of “Good Standing” - i.e. currently enrolled
• Maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (or equivalent)
• Post marked  by  May 30, 2013

Write a poem, in a style of your choosing, on the theme of overcoming a personal challenge.  Please include a personal statement about yourself and how the poem reflects on your personal experience.  The poem and essay (combined) should be at around 750 to 1000 words (feel free to write a little more or less).
