The Valree Fletcher Wynn Scholarship is open to all high school students who wish to pursue a degree at Cameron University, however, students who are economically disadvantaged or belong to unrepresented groups will be given first consideration. This scholarship is based on academic performance and leadership ability.

Applicants must choose an area of major and be admitted to Cameron University. All majors will be accepted, however, students choosing a major in English will be given first consideration.

Applicant must be a resident of Oklahoma.

Applicant must have a cumulative high school GPA of no less than 3.0 on a four point scale and must have a minimum composite ACT score of 20.

Applicant must show evidence of leadership ability.

This scholarship is non-renewable.

Only complete applications will be accepted. The following items must accompany each application:

• High school transcript with ACT score.
• 3 letters of recommendation, with one from a high school teacher or counselor.
• 1 page essay describing leadership abilities and why the student feels they are deserving of the scholarship. If the student is economically disadvantaged or belongs to an unrepresented group, please describe in essay.
• Resume of high school activities.
