Graduate Council

The Graduate Council serves as the principal governing and appellate committee for all issues pertaining to graduate education at Cameron University.  Council functions include but are not limited to oversight of graduate curriculum; graduate faculty selection and retention; student matriculation and retention; in cooperation with the academic disciplines, strategic planning for graduate education; and appeals of grades, suspension and dismissal.

Membership

Faculty: Each school that offers a graduate course shall be entitled to elect one voting member to the Graduate Council, and each school that offers a graduate degree program shall be entitled to elect an additional voting member.

Students: Two graduate students nominated by the Co-Chairs shall be confirmed by a simple majority vote of the Graduate Council.

Administrators:  Deans of School of Business and Education & Behavioral Sciences shall be Co-Chairs of the Council (ex-officio-non-voting).
