Keynote Speaker
Dr. Scott E. Buchanan is an associate professor of political science and the Executive Director of The Citadel Symposium on Southern Politics. He is the author of the only published biography of Georgia Governor Marvin Griffin, who was a member of The Citadel Class of 1929. Dr. Buchanan has also written articles on realignment in Southern politics and has been involved in oral histories of Georgia political figures of the 1950s and 1960s. In addition, Dr. Buchanan is a past president of the Georgia Political Science Association.

The 2013 Oklahoma Political Science Association Annual Conference will be held on the campus of the University of Oklahoma in Norman. The Sandy Bell Gallery and the Mary Eddy and Fred Jones Auditorium will serve as the specific conference sites. For a map of campus, please click here. The Oklahoma Political Science Association (OPSA) is the professional organizations of Oklahoma political scientists and practitioners. Drawing on political scientists and practitioners from across the state, the OPSA brings together scholars from all fields of inquiry and occupational endeavors within and outside academe in order to expand understanding of politics and policies. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the state's politics.
