Spyware, adware, and malware are a major problem on campus as well as everywhere else. These programs degrade your computer and may even cause harm to your computer or other computers in the residence halls or even outside the residence halls. To prevent malicious programs from damaging your computer, ITS offers a list of links for FREE software that is recommended to safeguard and clean your computers.
Both Ad-Aware and Spybot should be installed, updated, and run on a regular basis. If you do not have anti-virus software, ITS recommends installing AVG anti-virus software.
