Celebrating Women
Cameron University Library participated in Cameron’s centennial by providing a daylong “Celebrating Women” event on October 2, 2008. At 10:00 AM there was a presentation by Mrs. Glenda Carlile, an author and historian, who spoke about women who have contributed to Oklahoma’s development as a state. The morning presentation was followed by an afternoon panel of former Cameron faculty members. These women told of their early memories and their roles in Cameron’s growth as a vibrant university. Both presentations, attended by students, faculty, and community members, were informative as well as entertaining!
