Cameron University invites residents of southwest Oklahoma to get into the holiday spirit at CU's annual holiday tree lighting ceremony and community reception. The event takes place on Thursday, December 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McMahon Center on the Cameron campus.
"We're inviting everyone in southwest Oklahoma to join us for this fun-filled event," says Jana Gowan, Director of Community Relations. "As our Centennial Celebration continues, we want to show our appreciation for the tremendous community support we experience. This will be a fun night for families to celebrate the spirit of the season, so come join us for some hot cocoa and ‘smores!"
The come-and-go event will include horse-drawn carriage rides, cookie-decorating stations for kids of all ages, musical performances by the Cameron University Centennial Singers and the lighting of a fully decorated holiday tree. Hot cocoa, coffee, cupcakes, popcorn balls, cookies and ‘smores will be served.
Cameron will host a similar event at Cameron University - Duncan on Tuesday, December 9.
