New scholarships are available for the Spring 2009 semester as well as the upcoming 2009-2010 school year, Cameron University's Office of Financial Assistance has announced.
The Wyatt F. & Mattie M. Jeltz Scholarship Foundation is accepting applications for scholarships that will be awarded to minority students for the Spring 2009 semester. To be eligible for the award, a student must be enrolled full-time at an Oklahoma college or university, earned at least 30 credit hours and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8. The deadline for application is December 20, 2008. The application can be found at www.cameron.edu/financial_aid/scholarships.
The Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation wants to help students in their academic pursuits. Qualified applicants must complete an application package, be either an incoming freshman student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or have a minimum ACT score of 22/SAT score of 1030 or a continuing student with a "B" average. The Institute of Management Accountants is awarding scholarships ranging from $1,000 - $2,500 and one $5,000 award to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a course of study in accounting or finance for the 2009-2010 school year. In addition to the newly announced scholarships listed above, CU students are encouraged to apply for scholarships that are specific to Cameron University. Many of the scholarships are renewable and all classifications are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is February 1, 2009.
