Cameron University President Cindy Ross and other CU administrators, faculty and staff will suit up on Monday, November 3 to take on a student team during the university's third annual volleyball game to benefit the Lawton/Fort Sill United Way. The action gets underway at noon in the Aggie Gym. The event, which includes a free hotdog lunch, will also feature a silent auction for a holiday gift basket and a pair of tickets to the touring production of "The Rat Pack - Live at the Sands," for the November 16 performance in Oklahoma City. "The Rat Pack - Live at the Sands" recreates a legendary early 1960s evening at the Sands Hotel with three of the most famous performers ever - Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin.
Advance tickets are $3 for CU students and $5 for general admission; advance tickets can be purchased on campus at the One Stop Shop and the Cashier's Desk. All tickets purchased at the door on game day will be $5.
"The United Way is vital to this community," says Ross. "United Way agencies in Lawton-Fort Sill serve citizens of all ages and from all walks of life. Cameron University, as a community partner, is committed to supporting this much needed organization."
