Following last month's successful launch of Tech Night, Cameron University's Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES) will host its second Tech Night on Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 6 - 9 p.m. in CETES Room 207. In addition to providing opportunities for networking and open discussion, Tech Night will feature presentations on "Cloud Computing" and "Agile Methodologies." The event is free and open to any individual excited by or working in technology. Refreshments will be provided. "The inaugural Tech Night last month was a great success," says Arun Tilak, Director of CETES. "We received incredibly positive feedback from those who attended, and we look forward to hosting even more techies this month and at subsequent events."
Tilak reports that attendees from the first Tech Night valued the opportunity to meet other techies, to discover community resources and to have a forum for open communication among technophiles with diverse experience and backgrounds.
Tech Night takes place on the third Tuesday every month. CETES is located on the west side of the Cameron campus. From 38th Street, follow C Avenue to the three-way stop, then turn left (north) and proceed to CETES.
