The Cameron University Concert Band, conducted by Dr. Roy Couch, will present its annual Fall concert on Tuesday, November 24, at 8 p.m. at the University Theatre. CU students performing in the Concert Band are Jonathan Fletcher, Cache; Deidra Willingham, Cushing; Alejandra Boyle, Lorenzo Diaz, Andrew Finley, Amanda Hall, Fatima Rivera, all of Duncan; Justin Wait, Elgin; Julia Meador, Frederick; Erik Auberg, Hobart; Megan Chaney, Kimberly Garza, Iowa Park, TX; Sean Batiste, Shanice Biggins, Daniel Billings, Kaetlyn Brennan, Melissa Delgado, Prezell Duckett, Michael Elbert, Mitchell Ensley, Steven Feldman, Erica Fields, Erick Gonzalez, Korynne Gonzales, Grant Johnson, Steven Melton, Elia Merel, Kayla Pennington, Elizabeth Perkins, Chris Puetz, Elijah Ramirez, Derek Randle, Eric Roloff, Christopher Turner, Eric Vitense, Clint Williams, Lawrence Williams, all of Lawton; and Dermonte Adams, Oklahoma City.
Faculty member Dr. Karla Oty, Professor of Mathematics, will join the Concert Band for this performance.
A wide variety of band music will be performed during the concert. Included will be "Prelude to a Celebration" by Philip Sparke; "October" by Eric Whitacre; "Under the Double Eagle" by Josef Wagner/arranged by Glover; "Fantasy on Childhood Songs" by David W. Moore; "Symphony from The Fairy Queen, Act IV" (for brass choir) by Henry Purcell/trans. Smith; "Elegy for a Young American" by Ronald Lo Presti; and "Symphonic Songs for Band" by Robert Russell Bennett.
