Cameron art student, faculty win honors at juried show

 "The Lost Habitat", a pastel drawing by Cameron University Professor of Art Katherine Liontas-Warren, was named Best of Show at the Rio Brazos Art Exhibition: 13th Annual Juried Show at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. "Still Standing at 442," a linoleum print by CU student Rebecca Dierickx-Taylor, received Honorable Mention. For her Best of Show award, Liontas-Warren received a $1,000 cash prize. Dierickx-Taylor received $100 for her Honorable Mention.

In addition, the Museum of Wichita Falls at Midwestern State University has purchased a drawing by Liontas-Warren for its permanent collection. The drawing, "A Greek Story," will also be included in the museum's January 2010 exhibition.
