Cameron University welcomes Charlie Parker as the new Director of Student Housing, effective October 18. Parker will be responsible for the operation and management of Cameron’s student housing facilities, the Shepler dormitories which house approximately 300 students and Cameron Village, a 240-bed apartment complex. He will also oversee the planning and coordination of social and educational programs for Cameron student residents. Parker replaces Casey Case, who resigned to pursue other interests.
“With a solid background in university housing administration, Charlie is a natural fit for this position,” says Jennifer Holland, Vice President for Student Services. “He will be a key member of the Student Services division, and I know the Cameron students who live on campus will enjoy a high-quality collegiate experience thanks to his expertise.”
Parker, a graduate of the University of Sciences and Arts of Oklahoma, comes to Cameron from West Texas A&M University, where he served as Assistant Director of Residence Life. He has previous experience in university housing at the University of Maine at Farmington and Texas A&M University, where he earned a Master’s degree.
“I look forward to joining the Cameron staff and getting to know the students who live in university housing,” Parker says. “The area of residence life is a key part of the complete collegiate experience. My goal is to provide Cameron’s resident students with the best experience possible.”
