Cameron University Library to host workshop to help manage the Generation Gap in the workplace

 

The Cameron University Library will host "Managing the Generational Mix," a day-long workshop sponsored by the Supervisors, Managers, and Administrator's Round Table (SMART) of the Oklahoma Library Association on Friday, May 7 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.  Workplace consultant, trainer and coach Dana Bickford of Empowerment Resources will cover a variety of topics relative to managing the generation gap in the workplace. "Managing the Generational Mix" will be held in the CETES Conference Center at Cameron University in Lawton. The workshop is open to the public at no charge; lunch is provided.

The workshop will introduce the four generations, the existence of a generation gap, the importance of recognizing generational differences, and the way that generations differ in their approach to work. Participants will learn how to break down barriers and work more effectively with members of generations.
