On Saturday, February 20, get your day off to a running start by participating in the Aggie Fun Run, an energizing run/walk around the Aggie Mile. Your one-mile journey across campus will allow you to see the transformation of the CU landscape. The Aggie Mile starts in front of North Shepler. Walk or run at your own pace with your fellow Aggies. The action kicks off at 8 a.m.
Join your classmates to reminisce and catch on good times during the Aggie Family Coffees at 9:30 a.m. Stop by the Shepler Center to check in, then take a stroll down memory lane with your fellow Aggie alumni. Special reunions have also been organized for the class of 1960, young alumni who graduated between 2005-2009 and the Aggie Parents Association.
At 10:30 a.m., the Aggie Family and Friends Awards Brunch takes place in the Shepler Ballroom. During this festive occasion, the Class of 1960 will receive their Golden Associates Medallions, and the Cameron University Alumni Association will honor inductees into the Faculty Hall of Fame as well as the recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Outstanding Young Alumni Award. The event is free, although pre-registration is required. Call the Office of Alumni Relations at 581-2288 to register.
Aggie spirit gets into full swing at the Homecoming Tailgate Party in the beautiful Bentley Gardens (adjacent to the CU Fitness Center) at Noon. Join us for hot dogs, live music, face painting and more as you get ready to cheer the Aggies on to victory.
At 2 p.m., the Aggies women's basketball team tips off against East Central University, following by the men's team taking the court at 4 p.m. During halftime of the women's game, the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2010 will be recognized.
