Cameron professor’s artwork accepted into three exhibitions

Works of art by Cameron University Professor of Art Katherine Liontas-Warren will be on display in a juried exhibition and two portfolio exchanges. “Anticipation,” a 15”x11” stone lithograph, has been accepted into the 2010 Biannual Springfield Art Museum Exhibition. This show is a biannual, juried exhibition that recognizes artists working in all media who reside in the four-state region of Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas. The show, MOAK 4 State Regional 2010, will be on display from November 20 through January 2, 2011 at the Springfield Museum of Art in Springfield, Missouri.

Anticipation by Katherine Liontas-Warren“Anticipation” is also included in the 2010 Printmaking Portfolios at the Cora Stafford Gallery, University of North Texas. The name of the portfolio exchange is called Interiors/Exteriors. This show is currently on display in the gallery at UNT in Denton.

“The New Arrival,” an 8”x20” stone lithograph, is part of “The Circle of Print: An International Group of Printmakers” portfolio exchange organized by Professor Melanie Yazzie from the University of Colorado. This portfolio, featuring the works on 20 artists, is in the collection at the University of Colorado; Zayed University, Dubai, UAE; Proyecto'ace Print Collection, Buenos Aires, Argentina; and the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. One portfolio set will travel to university galleries for exhibitions throughout the nation.
