Cameron sponsors Summer Food Service Program

Cameron University is participating in the Summer Food Service Program, a program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), by providing meals to all eligible children at no charge. To be eligible to receive free meals at a residential or nonresidential camp, children must meet the income guidelines for reduced priced meals in the National School Lunch Program. Children who are part of households that receive food stamps, benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) or an AFDS assistance unit are automatically eligible to receive free meals, subject to completion of the free/reduced application form.

From June 1 - July 2, meals will be provided in the Cameron University cafeteria, located in the Shepler Tower at 2800 West Gore. Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday through Friday, as follows: Breakfast: 7:45 - 8:15 a.m.; Lunch: 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Supper will be served Monday through Thursday from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Acceptance and participation requirements for the Program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
