In conjunction with “Afghanistan: Its Complexities and Relevance,” Cameron University’s triennial Academic Festival, the Cameron University Library will present “Understanding ‘The Kite Runner’” on Tuesday, August 30. Faculty members Dr. Mary Dzindolet, Dr. David Fennema and Dr. John Morris will examine the meaning of “The Kite Runner,” the New York Times bestseller by Dr. Khaled Hosseini. The session takes place in Room 116 of the Cameron University Library from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. The event is open to the public at no charge.
“The Kite Runner,” an international bestseller and prizewinning novel, chronicles the friendship between two boys growing up in Kabul. Their intertwined lives, and their fates, reflect the eventual tragedy of the world around them. The book has been published in 70 countries in 55 different languages.
