Cameron University Career Services, a division of the Office of Student Development, will host the fourth annual Part-Time Job Fair on Wednesday, September 14 from 2-4 p.m. in the McCasland Ballroom of the McMahon Centennial Complex. Many local businesses will be on site to recruit and possibly hire CU students who can help meet their part-time needs. Students interested in attending the job fair should bring copies of their resume and a list of personal references. Employers may elect to conduct interviews on site, so students are advised to dress appropriately.
“The Part-Time Job Fair is a prime opportunity for Cameron students to find part-time jobs with employers who are willing to work around class schedules,” says Jacob Johnson, Career Services Coordinator. “The job fair allows us to facilitate a ‘win-win’ experience for both area businesses and CU students.“
Students seeking assistance in preparing for the job fair are encouraged to contact CU’s Office of Student Development, which hosts Walk-in Wednesday at the Career Resource Center, located in North Shepler 311, each Wednesday from Noon – 3 p.m. During Walk-in Wednesday, students receive assistance in preparing resumes, interview skills, what to wear and more.
CU’s Office of Student Development can be reached by calling 581-2209.
