The Cameron University Department of Art will present a lecture by nationally recognized graphic designer Don Sibley of Sibley Peteet Design on Thursday November 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the CETES Conference Center. The event is open to the public at no charge. Refreshments will be served following the presentation.
“We are privileged to bring Don Sibley to campus,” says Edna McMillan, Chair, Department of Art. “Cameron students will benefit from hearing his perspectives on the rapidly changing world of graphic design, as will professionals in the fields of advertising, graphic design, multimedia design, journalism, business, marketing, and communications.”
Sibley, graphic designer and partner in Sibley Peteet Design of Dallas, Texas, will speak about the company’s success and how graphic design and advertising affect culture, music, media and more. Sibley Peteet Design, founded more than 26 years ago, is a multi-disciplined communications powerhouse. The company boasts a prestigious client roster including Neiman Marcus, Mary Kay, Hasbro and Weyerhaeuser Paper.
The event is sponsored by The Cameron Art Guild and is funded by Cameron University Lectures and Concerts.
