Cameron University Professor of Music Dr. Hyunsoon Whang will be joined by guest artists Jeanine York-Garesche and Bjorn Ranheim for “Three B’s and More,” a chamber music concert. The event takes place on Monday, January 24 in the Cameron University Theatre at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public at no charge. “Three B’s and More,” featuring Whang on piano, York-Garesche on clarinet and Ranheim on cello, is presented by the Cameron University Department of Music and the Cameron University Lectures and Concerts Series.
The program features something for everyone and will open with a Beethoven trio. Ranheim will then perform one of J.S. Bach’s suites for solo cello. After an intermission, Whang will perform an intermezzo by Brahms, followed by York-Garesche's “Three Pieces for Solo Clarinet” by Stravinsky. Brahms’ “A Minor Trio” will round out the program.
Jeanine York-Garesche is much sought after as a soloist and a chamber musician. She also is a dedicated orchestral musician and a pedagogue. York-Garesche is the principle clarinetist of the St. Louis Opera Theatre and teaches at the Webster University and the University of Missouri in St. Louis.
