Cameron University student receives scholarship from Wyatt F. and Mattie M. Jeltz Scholarship Foundation

Cameron University student Ashley Winfrey, a junior from Lawton, received a scholarship yesterday from The Wyatt F. and Mattie M. Jeltz Scholarship Foundation, located in Oklahoma City. Foundation Trustee Chairman Dr. James L. Mosley presented the scholarship during a visit to the CU campus. Winfrey is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Romance Languages Education.

Wyatt F. and Mattie M. Jeltz were African American Oklahomans who devoted their lives to education, employment opportunities and community service until their deaths in 1975 and 1977, respectively. They were vitally interested in assisting young people who display strong academic ability to acquire an education and a better life.
