Clinton J. Wieden has joined KCCU, Cameron University’s public radio station, as News Director. Wieden will coordinate and manage the production of news stories and newscasts for KCCU’s network of eight radio stations.
“Clinton’s broadcast experience and commitment to top-quality production will play a vital role in KCCU’s award-winning news coverage,” says Ted Riley, Director of Broadcasting. “We are happy to welcome him to the KCCU family.”
Wieden comes to KCCU from KRPS-FM in Pittsburg, Kan., where he produced feature stories, programs and station promos in addition to hosting a daily on-air shift. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Broadcasting and a Master of Science in Mass Communication. Wieden also has experience as a sports announcer and sports writer.
KCCU, a non-commercial educational station licensed to Cameron University in Lawton, airs network programming from National Public Radio (NPR), APM, WFMT and independent producers. The KCCU network includes radio stations in Ardmore, Altus, Chickasha, Clinton, Lawton, Woodward and Wichita Falls, Texas.
