The Cameron/Lawton Community Band and the Cameron University/Lawton Civic Chorale will present a combined concert on Sunday, March 3 at 3 p.m. in the Cameron University Theatre. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students, senior citizens and military. All Cameron faculty, students and staff are admitted free with CU ID.
The Cameron University/Lawton Civic Chorale, conducted by Doris Lambert, will perform portions of Schubert’s “Mass No.2 in G” for chorus and soloists and will be accompanied by Jiha Choi on piano.
The Cameron/Lawton Community Band, conducted by Dr. Jim Lambert, will perform “136th USA Field Artillery March” by Henry Fillmore, “Suite in B-flat” by Gordon Jacob, “The Golden Year” by Alfred Reed, “Highlights from Porgy and Bess” arranged by Douglas Wagner, Brant Karrick’s “Exuberance” and “Armed Forces Salute,” and Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever March.”
The two performance groups will unite to close the performance with Emerson and Murtha’s arrangement of “Irving Berlin’s America.”
