Cameron’s 16th Annual Red River Expo prepares job seekers for success

Cameron University Career Services presents the 16th Annual Red River Career Expo, an event which provides an opportunity for all students, military personnel and residents of southwest Oklahoma to meet with national, regional and local employers. A wide-range of career fields, including health care, telecommunications, marketing, engineering, information technology, sales, and more, will be represented. The Red River Career Expo takes place on Thursday, February 21, from 12:30-4 p.m. at the Aggie Rec Center. The event is open to the public at no charge.

“The Red River Career Expo provides a great opportunity for community members as well as Cameron students to investigate potential job opportunities,” says Wendy Locke, Career Services Employer Relations Coordinator. “More than 70 local and regional businesses and federal contractors will be on site – all of whom are looking for quality employees. In addition, representatives from numerous universities will be on hand to provide information on post-baccalaureate degree programs.”

Job seekers, who will have the opportunity to network, hand out resumes, and gather valuable information on different careers, are advised to dress to impress. In addition, members of Cameron’s Career Services staff are available to provide resume assistance and tips on getting the most out of a career fair.
