Cameron celebrates Earth Day with tree donation from Lawton Northeast On-Line Branch Lions Club

Cameron University celebrated Earth Day with a tree planting, thanks to a donation from the Lawton Northeast On-Line Branch Lions Club, a branch of the Lawton Northeast Lions Club. This marks the sixth consecutive year the group has donated a tree to the university. Allen Granger, president of the Lawton Northeast On-Line Branch Lions Club was joined by members of the club to plant an Eastern Redbud on the northeast side of Cameron’s Aggie Gym.

Hetakes great pride in selecting our trees each year.”

The Lawton Northeast On-Line Branch Lions Club established their tradition of giving trees to Cameron in 2009 with two Red Oaks. Beginning in 2010, they have contributed Eastern Redbuds, which bring brilliant color to the Cameron campus each spring.
