Cameron University’s Katherine Liontas-Warren, professor of art, is one of 25 artists chosen for exhibition in the ArtNow: Exhibition 2018. The exhibit has been on display since December at Oklahoma Contemporary in Oklahoma City and will conclude with a gala art sale on January 19.
Liontas-Warren has five drawings and three watercolors on display.
“My works of art represent my love and passion of capturing the landscape both as drawings and paintings,” Liontas-Warren says. “The drawings represent an observation of a place that is inspired from my trip to Colorado in 2017. They are metaphorically surreal, revealing an imagined landscape that may or may not exist; whereas, my watercolors reference the emotional spontaneity of abstracted shapes, colors and light found in nature.”
ArtNow is an annual exhibition of Oklahoma-based contemporary artists.
