With an eye toward helping 2018 graduates prepare for this year’s Commencement ceremony, Cameron University will host a Graduation Fair on Wednesday, March 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The event will take place in the McCasland Ballroom of the McMahon Centennial Complex. All 2018 Cameron graduates are encouraged to attend the event, which is essentially a “one-stop shop” where they can coordinate numerous elements that contribute to a worry-free graduation. Perhaps the best offer available that day: the Cameron University Alumni Association will purchase the cap and gown for any 2018 graduate who buys a lifetime CUAA membership.
This year’s graduates will also have the opportunity to have a senior portrait – complete with cap and gown – taken by a professional photographer, so students should be “photo ready.” There is no fee to sit for a portrait; students will only pay for either digital or print versions, should they wish.
Other commencement-related services that will be available are completing the application for graduation; purchasing a cap and gown; ordering graduation announcements; exploring graduate school options; discussing student loan obligations; learning about job searches and more.
Representatives from the offices of the Registrar, Cameron University Alumni Association, Career Services, Admissions, CU Print Shop and Financial Aid, as well as the CU Bookstore, will be available to assist graduates.
Cameron’s 2018 Commencement ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Cameron University Stadium. The official hooding ceremony for graduate students will take place on Friday, May 4at 3 p.m. in Aggie Gym.
