We have over twenty talented full and part-time faculty and staff dedicated to teaching and service and more than a dozen performing ensembles in which you can participate. We pride ourselves in offering a high level of musical education in a personal setting that will offer the student a rewarding and fulfilling college experience.

The 24th Annual Cameron University Piano Competition
SUNDAY, March 5, 2017
McCUTCHEON RECITAL HALL
Category A (grades 11 and 12)
First Prize $200.00
Second Prize $100.00
Third Prize $75.00
Scholarships to attend Cameron University may also be awarded.
Category B (grades 9 and 10)
Prizes of $50.00 will be awarded to the top three contestants.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
ENTRANCE FEE: The applicant must be a high school student. Previous First Prize winners are not eligible.
AUDITIONS: A non-refundable fee ($20.00 for Category A, $15.00 for Category B) must be en closed with the application. Please make check or money order payable to Cameron University Music Foundation.
TIME: Each contestant will perform an audition consisting of solo works of his or her own choosing (12-15 minutes for Category A, 7-10 minutes for Category B). Popular music selections are not appropriate. All works must be performed from memory. Th e competition will commence at 2:.00 PM. Contestants will be notified of their audition time by phone or e-mail one week prior to the competition.
JURY: The jury will consist of Cameron University Music Faculty. In the event that a jury member is related to, or has taught a contestant, that jury member will be disqualified from voting on said contestant.
DEADLINE: Applications must be postmarked no later than February 15, 2017.
PRIZES: All prizes are awarded at the discretion of the jury. The jury reserves the right to not award any or all of the prizes.
