Expectations

The Office of Campus Life expects members of Social Fraternities and Sororities to:

  • be connected to Cameron University
  • show a commitment to service
  • and develop a commitment to social excellence. This is defined as
    • appreciating and engaging in community service and philanthropic activities
    • demonstrating an awareness of social justice issues and engaging in opportunities for diverse interactions
    • building life-long friendships based on shared values and and a commitment to the values of their organization

Recruitment

Formal Recruitment for the Fraternities and Sororities is scheduled for the Fall Semester.

  • Sunday, August 20 - Table at the Block Party, Bentley Gardens, 5:30pm - 7:30pm
  • Tuesday, August 29 - All-Greek Ice Cream Social, Bentley Gardens, 1:30pm - 4:00pm
  • Wednesday, August 30 - Greek Info Night, MCC Ballroom, 4pm - 6pm
  • Thursday, August 31 - Student Organizations Fair, 10:30am - 1:30pm
  • Thursday, August 31- Recruitment Applications due to Campus Life, 3pm
  • Thursday, August 31 - Friday, September 8 - Individual Chapter Events
  • Saturday, September 9 - Bid Day, MCC Ballroom, 11am
