Most students at Cameron receive some type of financial assistance. Others do not even apply for Financial Aid, but we feel strongly that every one should. The FAFSA is free, and many students who are eligible for aid do not receive any because they do not apply. You have nothing to lose and much to possibly gain by encouraging your student to apply.
Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1 for the following fall/spring semester and the student must reapply each year. Students will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) a few weeks after submitting the FAFSA. If corrections must be made, they should be made quickly. The Office of Financial Assistance will notify students in writing about the types and amounts of awards available. If the student is eligible for Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant (OTAG) he or she will be notified by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
There are a variety of scholarships available to prospective and continuing students. Students should consult the Office of Admissions, the Office of Financial Aid, and the Cameron website for available information regarding scholarships or tuition waivers. Scholarships are considered to be part of the financial aid package; therefore, adjustments may be made to the initial financial aid package if a scholarship is awarded.
Work study positions are available to students who prefer to work on campus, and are advertised on the Cameron website.
The Office of Financial Assistance is located in North Shepler, Room 301 or contact them at (580) 581-2293.
