Plan 2008: Preparing for Cameron University’s Second Century is a strategic plan developed in 2003 to provide a blueprint for Cameron as the university approached its 100th anniversary.
During an era of limited resources, Plan 2008 established objectives and effective action strategies for establishing Cameron University as the premier regional university in the southwest section of the United States.
Plan 2008, the first long-term strategic plan in the university's history, communicates Cameron's core values, goals, objectives and actions.
With this document, the university has established a process by which to regularly evaluate its strengths and challenges.
In June 2007, the university released Plan 2008 Status Report, which measured the progress of meeting the stated goals and objectives of Plan 2008.
