Cameron University encourages students to take a National ACT exam for admission and scholarship purposes. However, if a student is unable to take a national exam, he/she may take a Residual ACT exam.
Students may only take the Residual ACT exam once during the year in which the respective Residual ACT examination is valid (November 1 through September 30) and the test date shall not coincide with a national ACT test date.
The Testing Center offers the Residual ACT by appointment once a month, usually on the second Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., except for the month of October. (The Residual ACT will not be given during the month of October.) The ACT exam starts at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. Students will receive a copy of ACT scores in approximately two days.
The next Residual ACT is June 14, 2016.
Residual ACTs can only be administered to those individuals who are enrolled at Cameron, have been admitted to Cameron, or are in the process of applying for admission to Cameron. Score reports from the Residual ACT are only valid at Cameron, and a copy of the score report will be forwarded to the Office of Admissions.
The fee for the test is $50, check or money order only, payable to Cameron University. Checks or money orders should be presented at the Testing Center on the day of the exam. When necessary, checks or money orders can be mailed to: Cameron University, Testing Center, 2800 West Gore Blvd., Lawton, OK 73505. A photo I.D. must be presented for admission to the test. Acceptable forms of I.D. include driver's license, military I.D., or current passport.
Test takers may bring a calculator to use on the math portion of the exam.
Study guides are available on the ACT website.
