How Do I Apply?

Students interested in participating in the Upward Bound program must apply during the month of October. You may request an application from your school advisor or from the Upward Bound office (Cameron University, North Shepler, Room 408), see the Upward Bound advisor at your school, or download the application from this web site. In addition to filling out the application, potential program participants must provide current documentation to verify family income and must request a recommendation from a teacher, counselor, principal, or other professional person. A family interview is also a requirement in the application process.

Print the Upward Bound application and complete it carefully.  Once it is completed, please mail the application to the address listed below:

Eligibility Requirements?

To become a participant in the Upward Bound Program, students must:

  • Demonstrate a DESIRE and the ABILITY to succeed in high school and GRADUATE from a four-year college AND
  • Meet income requirements AND/OR
  • Meet first generation requirements (your parents have not graduated from college)
