Cameron University students
The Ethics Bowl is sponsored through the Rev Philip L. Jones Lectureship in Ethics, and is open to teams of 3-5 Cameron University students representing a variety of academic departments and student organizations. Teams will be mentored by a Faculty Coach/Advisor, and will engage in meaningful discussion in a debate type competition based on ethical dilemmas that challenge the world today. Community leaders will serve as judges.
Cameron University Ethics Bowl will take place on a Friday, in October 2019. Contest check-in will be in Ross Hall Lobby.

Preparation, ethical analysis, and commitment will provide students with concentrated opportunities to sharpen their abilities to discern, analyze, and evaluate all perspectives while communicating in an intense arena. The opportunity allows students to demonstrate critical thinking ability, ethical problem solving, and provides opportunities to meet community leaders that may well be their future employers.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams. Academic Department or Student Organization representatives will display the trophies in their respective offices for one year.
Winning team members will each receive a Cameron University Bookstore gift card based on an equal share of the total prize as follows:
1st place: $1,500 (split equally)
2nd place: $ 750 (split equally)
3rd place: $ 300 (split equally)
