I was born in rural western Nebraska, and spent much of my youth there. My father was military, this caused us to move to otherlocations throughout the country. Over the years I have lived in California, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Delaware, Michigan, Louisiana, Virginia and currently Oklahoma. I have spent time shorter times in other states, including Pennsylvania, New York, Wyoming, and New Jersey.

I studied at St. Edwards University in Austin Texas, under the tutelage of Prof. Edward Mangum, Prof. Susan Loughran and Brother Gerald Mueller. I received my MFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,having studied under Prof. Janice Stauffer, Dr. Robert Hillstead ,Dr. Tice Miller, Dr.Ronald Wainscott, Prof. Paul Steger, Prof. Ed Stauffer, Prof. Charles O’Connor and staff member Ann Watson.

I have served as a staff member at Doane College, Nebraska Wesleyan University (temporary), University of Delaware (PTTP), St Edwards University, Austin Community College, Catawba College and currently Cameron University.

I have worked in film, television and stage. Over the years I have had the joy of working with students, passing my knowledge and sharing my experience with them. I look forward to my years here at Cameron. Stop bye and say hello! My door is open.
