Aggies Claim Sixth LSC Golf Title

TROPHY CLUB, Texas (April 20) - Owen Mahaffey became the third straight Cameron player to win individual medalist honors at the Lone Star Conference men's golf championships on Tuesday. Mahaffey, a freshman from Wichita Falls, turned in a final-round 71 to best the field by three strokes, leading the Aggie golf team to their sixth conference championship under head coach Jerry Hrnciar.

Nursing Students Walk for Cystic Fibrosis

The University of Oklahoma's College of Nursing Student Nursing Association will walk for Cystic Fibrosis on Saturday, April 24. the walk begins at 8 a.m. at Elmer Thomas Park in Lawton. For more information call 580-591-8014.

NPR Journalist to Speak at Commencement

National Public Radio correspondent Linda Wertheimer will deliver the commencement address to Cameron University’s Class of 2004. The university’s annual graduation ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8, in Cameron Stadium in Lawton. The event is open to the public.

CETES Construction Begins

Community leaders from around Southwest Oklahoma joined Cameron faculty and students for a look inside the university’s former Physical Science Building, which will become the Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES) by the end of the year.
