Spyware, adware, and malware are a major problem on campus as well as everywhere else. These programs degrade your computer and may even cause harm to your computer or other computers in the residence halls or even outside the residence halls. To prevent malicious programs from damaging your computer, ITS offers a list of links for FREE software that is recommended to safeguard and clean your computers.
ITS recommends installing Microsoft Security Essentials. Please note that Windows Defender provides the same level of protection as Microsoft Security Essentials and comes installed with Windows 8.
