Mission statement

The mission of Financial Assistance Services is to provide Cameron students with the timely delivery of financial assistance while maintaining accountability and proper stewardship of the public, institutional, and private funds with which it is entrusted. We are committed to providing courteous service to support the academic mission and goals of the University and its students.

Notification

CU Notified of Third-Party Vendor Data Breach

Cameron University was notified by the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) in July 2023 of a data breach involving a software tool called MOVEit Transfer. To find more about this data breach and how it affected the university, visit the link below.

File your 2023-2024 FAFSA now! 

  • The IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) is online for the 2023-2024 year. This is generally the quickest way to verify your income information. 
  • The application for the 2024-2025 year will open sometime in December 2023. The Department of Education has not released the exact date as they are still working on simplifying the FAFSA to make the process easier for students.
  • Early applicants will receive priority for several grants and other programs that have limited funding. The sooner you apply, the more likely you will be to receive additional aid opportunities.
