Little People, Big Emotions

An Emotion Regulation Toolbox for Children and their Caregivers.

Lisa Schoelen, LPC, will lead three two-hour workshops to help parents and daycare providers learn how to help their children better regulate their emotions.

All three workshops will be held from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the CETES Conference Center.


February 8th

This session is now full and registration for it is closed.  Lisa Schoelen will focus on Emotion Regulation Skills, such as understanding and naming emotions, changing emotional responses and reducing vulnerability to the emotional mind.

February 22nd

This session is now full and registration for it is closed. She will focus on Mindfulness Skills, such as practicing non-judgmental awareness, loving kindness and a wise mind.

March 7

This session is now full and registration for it is closed.  The topic will be Distress Tolerance Skills, such as reality acceptance, crisis survival, and self-soothing. A light dinner will be provided to those who RSVP at least one week before the event.

The first 50 people to attend each night will receive Marsha Linehan's DBT Skills Training Handouts and Worksheets.
