Cameron University to host high school students from across the state during annual FFA Agriculture Interscholastic Meet


The Cameron University Department of Agriculture, Biology and Health Sciences will host high school students from throughout Oklahoma during its annual FFA Agriculture Interscholastic Meet on Wednesday, April 7. The event provides an opportunity for agriculture students to hone their skills in areas ranging from practical animal science and land evaluation to leadership and business while preparing for the state FFA competition.


Cameron University offers CU Become an Educational Leader workshop


If you’re considering earning a master's degree to become a school principal or other school leader (which requires a minimum of one year experience as a classroom teacher), then "CU Become an Educational Leader," a free, specialized workshop, is for you. This informative workshop, presented by Cameron University's Department of Education, takes place on Tuesday, April 26, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Johnson Auditorium at Ross Hall.


Veterans Resource Fair slated at Cameron University


Almost 30 organizations aimed at assisting veterans, military service members and their dependents will be on hand at Cameron University’s Veterans Resource Fair, slated for April 13-14. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first floor of the McMahon Centennial Complex. The building is located at University Drive and D Avenue. Visitor parking is available across the street.


Dr. Ioannis Argyros authors second edition of mathematics textbook


Cameron University’s Dr. Ioannis Argyros, Professor of Mathematics, has updated “The Theory and Applications of Iteration Methods,” which he co-authored in 1993. The newly released second edition provides a plethora of results on research conducted at Cameron University related to the development of new algorithms used to solve problems from diverse disciplines.


“Emergence,” Cameron University’s senior art show, to open April 2 at Leslie Powell Gallery


The Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts will present a 2022 senior art exhibition, “Emergence,” at the Leslie Powell Gallery, 620 S.W. D Avenue. An opening reception is planned for Saturday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public at no charge. Artwork on display for the exhibition, which will run through April 30, will be available for purchase.


Cameron University invites you to RECONNECT and finish the degree you started


Cameron University invites adults who have earned college credit but were unable to complete a degree program to attend one of two virtual Reach Higher: Reconnect events, designed to help working adults find the information and resources needed to complete a bachelor’s degree. The virtual sessions are slated for Wednesday, March 30, at from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday, March 31, from 5 to 6 p.m.
