The Cameron University Concert Band will present a concert titled “Music of Our World” on Thursday, October 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the University Theatre. Caryn Pacheco, who served as Cameron University’s Director of Financial Aid from August 1989 through October 2007, has returned to Cameron as Director of Financial Assistance Services.
Cameron University celebrates the midpoint of the Fall 2021 semester with Fall Break on Thursday, Oct. 21 and Friday, Oct. 22. There will be no classes held during this time, and administrative offices will be closed. Classes will resume and administrative offices will re-open for normal business hours on Monday, Oct. 25.
Talented musicians from across southwest Oklahoma will join Cameron University student musicians for a recital by the Cameron/Lawton Community Band on Sunday, October 17. The concert takes place at 3 p.m. in the University Theatre.
Licensed professional counselors and licensed marriage and family therapists in southwest Oklahoma who are seeking continuing education opportunities will be able to earn up to six hours of continuing education credits during “Domestic Violence: Creating An Ethical Therapeutic Environment.” The one-day training session will be presented by the Cameron University Department of Psychology in partnership with Marie Detty Youth & Family Services on Friday, October 29, in the Johnson Auditorium, located in Ross Hall on the south side of the Cameron University campus in Lawton. Cameron University has partnered with the National Fitness Campaign (NFC) to add a sleek and modern outdoor Fitness Court® to its Lawton campus. The Fitness Court® is located adjacent to the Aggie Rec Center on the south side of campus and is only the third Fitness Court® in Oklahoma and the first located in Southwest Oklahoma.

Beginning on Tuesday, October 26, CU students can take the next step toward degree completion when enrollment opens for the Spring 2022 semester. Tiered enrollment by classification starts on Tuesday, October 26, for graduate students, seniors and honors students. Juniors can enroll on Wednesday, October 27, sophomores on Thursday, October 28, and freshmen on Friday, October 29. Open enrollment for all students begins on Monday, November 1.
Cameron University professor Hyunsoon Whang will present “Beethoven Sonata Cycle 3,” the third in a series of piano recitals in which she performs select Beethoven sonatas.
