Learn about Cameron University graduate programs in business through Zoom


Individuals seeking information about Cameron University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Organizational Leadership (MSOL) programs can now do so through a pre-recorded Zoom session featuring Dr. Krystal Brue, Chair, CU Department of Business. Cameron University to honor its Class of 2020 with a virtual graduation celebration on May 1


Friends and family members of Cameron University’s newest graduates are invited to celebrate with the Class of 2020 during a virtual ceremony to be broadcast online later this week.
A celebratory video will be posted at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, on Cameron’s YouTube channel. That is when the university’s traditional outdoor Commencement in Cameron Stadium would have started had the coronavirus pandemic not forced its postponement until this fall.


Business workshops slated for Cameron University’s Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies


Cameron University’s Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES) is partnering with the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center (OKSBDC) and Great Plains Technology Center (GPTC) for a series of GrowthWheel business workshops aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs. The series will kick off with The GrowthWheel – Business Concept on Tuesday, March 31, at 3 p.m. in Room 109 at CETES on the Cameron campus. To register, go to https://www.oksbdc.org/.


Employers invited to participate in Cameron University’s Red River Career Expo


Cameron University is inviting employers to participate in the 23rd annual Red River Career Expo, scheduled for Thursday, February 20, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Aggie Rec Center. The event will provide participating companies with the opportunity to recruit new employees, as CU students, community members, military families and more will be on-site to meet with national, regional and local employers. Cameron University theatre season kicks off with “Fahrenheit 451”


Cameron University’s Department of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts will open its 2020-21 theatre season, celebrating “Festival XI: Connections: Information Transfer Between People,” with Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451.” The melodrama will be presented in the University Theatre from October 1-4. The curtain goes up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens, military, Cameron faculty and staff, and non-Cameron students. CU students receive one free admission with their CU I.D. Due to COVID-19 protocols, seating is limited and tickets must be reserved in advance. To reserve tickets, call the box office at 580-581-2478 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Cameron University 2020 Commencement guidelines include social distancing, facial coverings


Cameron University’s 2020 Commencement is set for Saturday, October 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Cameron Stadium. Students who completed coursework in December 2019, May or July 2020, or will complete in December 2020 are eligible to participate in Commencement. Those planning to participate in the ceremony must register at www.cameron.edu/commencement/register-for-commencement. COVID-19 protocols will be in effect for the ceremony.


Cameron announces Summer 2020 honor rolls


Cameron University has announced the President’s and Dean’s honor rolls for the Summer 2020 semester. To make the President’s Honor Roll, undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time (carrying at least six hours of classes) and maintain a straight-A (4.0) average. The Dean’s Honor Roll requires a B (3.00-3.99) average.


Virtual presentation will detail steps to becoming a certified special education teacher


Are you interested in becoming a special education teacher but aren’t sure what steps to take to become certified? The Cameron University School of Graduate and Professional Studies can help, thanks to a virtual informational session that will focus on CU’s upcoming Special Education Boot Camp.
