Student Enrichment Center
Mission Statement
The Student Enrichment Center’s mission is to increase at-risk student persistence and completion by identifying at-risk students and providing access to personalized support and assistance to promote academic success.
Academic Coaching, WorkForce Readiness, Community and on-campus resources, and Financial Literacy
The Student Enrichment Center (SEC) provides a variety of support services to Cameron University students facing obstacles to successful degree completion. The Student Enrichment Center is funded through a Title III Strengthening Institutions Federal Grant.
STUDENT SUCCESS COACHES (SSCs)
SSCs work individually with CU students to improve goal setting, learning strategies, time management, and organizational skills. Student Success Coaches can also assist students in navigating academic life.
Coaches also provide academic advising services to Cameron University students who have not declared a major. Once you are ready your coach will work with your major department in the transition to your departmental advisor.
FINANCIAL RESOURCE SPECIALIST (FRS)
Have a question about how to pay for college?
Cameron now offers a student-centered counseling service to discuss the costs of college, funding options, financial aid, billing, CU scholarships, and external funding sources. Students can also explore the basics of budgeting, saving, investing, spending, managing debt, and making financial decisions to fit their lives.
