Student Assistant - Library Circulation Desk
The person who fills this position will assist patrons by providing quality customer service. He or she will circulate books, videos, reserve items, and laptops, track locations of items through the use of a computer database, answer phone calls, help patrons to reserve study rooms in a friendly manner, accurately return materials to the shelf, shelf-read, clean tables and bookshelves, and complete other jobs assigned by the Circulation Desk supervisors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position is open to currently enrolled Cameron students with a commitment to quality customer service, experience with computer programs OR willingness to learn to use such programs, good communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and willingness to work as a team player. Successful applicants must be able to lift at least 20 pounds, be willing and able to follow written and verbal direction, and be able to adhere to a strict confidentiality policy as well as be able to work with minimal supervision, and have a positive attitude. A successful applicant must show willingness to work early mornings, late evenings and/or weekends.
