Housing Assistant
Location: Cameron University, Cameron Village McMahon Center
Duration: Academic Year 2024-2025 (subject to available funds)
Position Overview
The Office of Student Housing and Residence Life at Cameron University is seeking a reliable and motivated Housing Office Assistant for the 2024-2025 academic year. This position is contingent upon available funding and will involve a variety of administrative and customer service tasks essential to the smooth operation of the housing office.
Key Responsibilities
• Office Hours: Maintain set office hours during the day as assigned.
• Customer Service: Provide face-to-face assistance to students, staff, and visitors.
• Communication: Answer phones, handle inquiries, and direct calls as necessary.
• Administrative Tasks: Assist with filing, paperwork, and other clerical duties.
• Mail and Packages: Sort and distribute resident mail and packages.
• Resident Support: Assist with resident lockouts and other housing-related issues.
• Miscellaneous Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by Student Housing Professional Staff.
Qualifications
• Current Enrollment: Must be a student at Cameron University.
- A current SHRL resident is highly preferred
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with students and staff.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment.
Compensation
This position is a paid role, with compensation details dependent on available funding for the 2024-2025 academic year.

• Social Media Conduct: Maintain professional standards in social media interactions. Posting or sharing inappropriate content related to the University or its members may lead to disciplinary action.
• Conduct: Must comply with the Student Code of Conduct, Housing Code, and University employee protocols. Violations may result in disciplinary action or termination.
