Alumna Tessa Craig named director of Student Wellness Center




Cameron University alumna Tessa Craig is the new director of the Student Wellness Center, which provides services that enhance the physical and mental health of CU students.

In that role, Craig is responsible for the administration and oversight of programs and personnel that ensure the efficient, equitable, and student-centered delivery of acute behavioral and medical services to students. This includes program planning and compliance, departmental budgeting, assessment, and meeting the wellness needs of student clients.

Craig earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing and a Master of Science degree in Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in General Psychology from Cameron. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. Craig is certified as a Master Addiction Counselor and as a Substance Abuse Counselor.

Craig has an extensive background as a therapist, which includes serving as a counseling psychologist for the Department of Defense for more than a decade.

The Student Wellness Center is located on the 1st floor of the North Shepler tower and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The facility is available to CU students ages 18+ who are enrolled at the Lawton campus.
