Have you earned some college credits but haven’t yet completed a degree? Fall 2024 is a great time to come back to Cameron University. The university has more than $126,000 in Come Back for More in Fall 24 scholarships available for eligible students.
The first step to receiving this scholarship is to apply for admission at https://www.cameron.edu/admissions. Eligible students must also complete a FAFSA as well as the online Come Back for More in Fall 24 form which is found https://www.cameron.edu/business/reach-higher/come-back-for-more-in-fall-24.
In order to be considered for the scholarship, which can provide $1,000 to $5,000 in educational assistance, students must meet the following criteria:
• 20 years old or older
• Never attended college or dropped out of college for at least one semester
• Resident of Oklahoma and a citizen of the United States
• Earned a GPA of at least 2.0
• Must be enrolled in the fall for a minimum of 3 hours (with priority given to those enrolled in six or more hours)
• Priority given to degree plans associated with Oklahoma’s 100 Critical Occupations, a list compiled by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
Fall classes start on Monday, August 19, with an extended enrollment deadline of August 26.
Cameron University’s “Come Back for More in Fall 2024” program is funded with resources provided through the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER II) Fund, sourced from reverted Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools (EANS) funds from the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, and distributed through the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Federal funding in the amount of $725,111.92 (100% of its total cost), has been set aside for this program. No part of this program (0%) is financed through non-governmental sources. Recipients must comply with these conditions under Division H, Title V, Section 505 of Public Law 116-260, Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.
